Our little precious baby girl is here and we love her to pieces! We decided it would be super special to capture her sweet precious babyness in photos. I am learning quickly that taking pictures on my phone are easy, but sometimes it is nice to have some more formal ones. It's also hard to get family photos, so arranging a photoshoot was extra special.
The reality of the day was not as picture perfect. Trying to take a shower and do my hair and makeup with a two week old who just wants to be held, fed, and changed constantly is very challenging. Thank goodness for my mommy who held Laila while I got ready and Cody worked. Mommy has been such a lifesaver in so many ways with how much help she has given us. I can't imagine learning to be a mommy without my mommy being there every step on the way.
So when we got to our session and we were told to just sit back and relax, it was a time we could take a breath of fresh air. If you haven't been to a newborn shoot, then let me just paint the picture. It is a dim lit room with the warm air filled with white noise. It is a perfect setting for a baby to fall asleep... and for the daddy. Yes, Cody was passed out within seconds on the couch.
I am going to keep her fully nakey photos private, but here are the cute photos of her wrapped up. I didn't even realize how many props and outfits were used until I got the photos! I trusted the photographer and let her do her thing. In the end, we are so very happy with Laila's first photoshoot.
