Family Purim Costume Ideas

Purim is coming up and it's crunch time to put together our family costume.

I have always loved dressing up. Like many kids, I had an endless bin of outfits. In college I spent days hand stitching fabric and glueing on crystals. It was a running joke that I ran a salon, makeup station, and in-house seamstress business for my college roomates.

Cody and I did our best to be together for purim every year (except for my internship year). I was ecstatic he enjoyed it as much as me. We even picked our family costume our first year married based on Zoey. If I remember correctly, I bought my dress in October, just days after we had decided to get her (she came home in January and Purim was March).

Now we have Laila! We want to make sure she loves it as much as we do. For her very first purim, Cody's parents came to be with us. It was the perfect holiday for them to join us since they would live in costumes every day if they could. Together we all did Alice in Wonderland. I made Mishloach Manot with home made clock cookies, red chip ate heart candy, teas, bubble wands and a few other items that I can't remember now.

This years I am still finalizing but I started collecting a long list of ideas to hold onto and share for future years. I included some ideas for Mishloach Manot to go along with the theme.
