Our family has grown again! Aiden Shiloh joined our family in May.

Aiden came at the most perfect time in to our family. He was born on our hebrew wedding anniversary!! That made the day even more magical. And! To top it, he shares a birthday with his great uncle. We will have lots of shared birthday cakes in our future. Maybe they both need a smash cake for next year.

Along with having a meaningful birthday, he has a very special name. We named his after my paternal grandmother. Three years ago we lost my Nanny. I was very lucky to have spent my entire childhood with them living down the street from us.

She and Poppy had been married for 70 years! Can you imagine?! They had 70+ years of love and adventures together. Poppy traveled a lot, as a fashion merchandise buyer for a national department store. His work helped them explore parts of the world that was not as common to visit, at the time. They took advantage of this and traveled the world together numerous times. They have so many slides of their trips that we would have a world history lesson whenever they set up to projector. My grandmother made herself into a walking encyclopedia, or Google. She always had a deep dive wealth of knowledge of each place they explored.

We also officially made a new family tradition when Aiden was born. Similarly to Aiden being born on one of our wedding anniversary’s, my dad was born on his parent’s wedding anniversary. Do we think this tradition will hold another generation or for other family members?

As always, we had our baby photographer get some photos of Aiden and our growing family. Wrangling two toddlers with their own personalities was far from easy. We were sleep deprived and everyone was hungry, but with some patience and sheer determination we got some great images to last us a lifetime.

While the photo shoot was all about Aiden, we got a few updated personality photos of Laila and Ian. They are two little goofballs who are really coming in to themselves.

We are to beyond thankful for the love and support that we’ve had with growing and eating our little family.

Xoxo,

Shana Bryn
