As exciting as it is that we live in a world where we can travel to almost anywhere, video call at any time of the day for however long we want, send gifts within a couple of days, and send instant messages and photos, it still stinks to be so far away from family.
Seven years ago, Cody and I took a trip to visit his sister, now husband, and their family in Australia. I dreamed of going one day, but having family there and exploring areas that I never would have otherwise known about, was incredible. We are long overdue for another trip out. A lot has changed since our first, and only trip. Between the four of us, we’ve graduated from various programs, started new jobs, moved multiple times, bought homes, got married, had three babies, added another fur baby, extra travels, losses of family and friends, and a whole lot of laughing and crying.
I am always so grateful that Paige, Chris, and Cayden fly out to Chicago to visit. It’s been a year and a half since we last saw them for their American wedding celebration. We all met again in Chicago this summer for a wedding for a very dear family friend. We would love for them to come to Denver on their next trip. Please come!
When Mama Donz called to tell me she wanted to take family photos, I was thrilled. I would never turn down family photos. I may have needed to pop over to the store to get Cody some clothing because he forgot to pack the proper colors, but it all worked out in the end.
Having these special captured moments are priceless. Alice from Heart Written Photography was such a doll and had so much patience working with two toddlers and an infant. Thank you for the family photos Donna and Adam.
